I want to thank all of our readers for their consistency in keeping up with our publication, it does not go unnoticed. The reason for this impromptu message is that “Virginia Gentry” will be slowing down the rate of publications from now (June 8th, 2024) until August 1st, 2024. There is no issue going on here, “Virginia Gentry” is safe, and we are more motivated than ever to bring you quality writing on the South and Southern Culture.
That being said, I am the Editor-In-Chief and as such I read and edit all articles before they are published, I am also involved in large-scale agriculture, and our harvest season will begin sometime around June 20th. Due to the work in our fields that must be done in the coming weeks, we will be slowing down our rate of publication.
I will do my damnedest to write, edit, and publish articles in my spare time, however, I will not lie to you by saying I can maintain our regular schedule of one to three articles a week. There are at least three articles in the works right now, and as always as soon as they are ready, they will be published.
So, once more to be clear, we are still publishing articles when we are able, but not as frequently as usual, this is a temporary lull and will be remedied by the end of July.
For my writers, please do not hesitate to send your work to us at VirginiaGentryMagazine@gmail.com. We are still working, although at a slightly slower pace than before.
If anyone would like to know more please leave a comment here or reach out to our email, or our “X”/Twitter: @VaGentryMag.
We look forward to the future, have a great weekend y’all. — J.R. Dunmore
