A Statement From J.R. Dunmore, EIC (Sep. 28th, 2024)
Written By J.R. Dunmore
Good evening, I would like to apologize to everyone for the recent delay in the pace of our publications. We here at Virginia Gentry aim to get at least one article a week out to our readers. As the Editor In Chief it is my responsibility to accept, edit, and publish all of the work that we showcase. Obviously those things take time to do, and unfortunately things at home have been pulling me in every direction other than my responsibilities here.
Without going into too much detail, since the beginning of this month, a close family member has gotten themselves into some serious trouble. My wife’s grandfather has fallen ill and we made a 16 hour round trip to see him, just in case this was the end. Upon returning from the trip, I caught some manner of sickness. That being said, I am still trying to make time to work on the magazine, and next month is looking like a much needed reprieve from all of this craziness.
So, let me tell you about some projects to keep an eye out for.
Firstly, there will be the next edition of Southern Verse coming out on September 30th. After that we will be publishing our very first book review of P.C.M. Christ’s Give Up The Ghost. Followed by an interview with the author. Also be expecting an article from yours truly.
Until then, thank you for reading, and Deo Vindice.
