I had two very different articles floating around my head in the hours before the election. Yet, here I am in the “good timeline” as some on social media have called our reality now that President Trump is returning to the White House. I almost can’t believe how things shook out. I mean, had a strong inclination that President Trump would win, but I was sure it would be by the skin of his teeth. Needless to say I’ve never been happier to be wrong about something in my life.

Despite feeling like Trump would pull it off, I found myself mentally preparing for another four years of federal persecution against Heritage Americans. Honestly I feel like I’ve been so used to playing on the defensive that some of that pre-2020 bite has faded. Although, now isn’t the time to muse on the youthful era of MAGA and the accompanying movements of the 2015-2016 campaign season. Now, is the time to celebrate, and even more so, now is the time to capitalize.

We have exactly 75 days from today (11/06/2024) to prepare for Trump’s administration. Trump’s greatest blunder of his first administration was the lack of preparation to command the beast that is the United States and inexperience with the swamp creatures that lurk around NoVa and the beltway of Maryland. These realities stifled him at every turn. This was only exacerbated by assuming that the system would play fair in 2020. However, these are all things that he rectified this time around by placing lawyers, and loyal election officials in all of the stolen districts from the previous election, as well as hiring his transition team in advance to hit the ground running in January. Now, God has blessed us with four years of plenty, in which time we should set our land in order. Yet, we are left with the question, what will you do?

It is easy to shift all of the responsibility for the state of our future on Trump and the other elected officials. The fact of the matter is, we need to continue to fight now more than ever. We have a rare opportunity, perhaps a final breath of the old order, but it shouldn’t be squandered by complacency. We have a conservative Supreme Court, majorities in both houses, and Trump on the throne. I have every assurance that he will do his part to make America great again, but putting him back into power is not the end of the battle. Rather, it is just the beginning.

For those of us who have the means, this time should be used to drive our enemies into a full route.

Always mystify, mislead, and surprise the enemy, if possible; and when you strike and overcome him, never let up the pursuit so long as your men have strength to follow; for an army routed, if hotly pursued, becomes panic-stricken, and can then be destroyed by half their number.

— General Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson

We need to be aiding the goals our Southern-friendly president elect. Look to men like Chris Rufo for inspiration. Delegitimize our enemies, especially the propagandized history that is used to demonize us. This is very easy, reward your friends and punish your enemies. That doesn’t mean we should be needlessly cruel, but it does mean that we strike while the iron is hot and destroy their legitimacy, reputations, and aims to the best of our abilities.

For those who are not in a place to do this, your work is just as important. We need good men and women to rebuild a noble Southern society. Teach your children our history, use the economic respite to rebuild churches and community centers, read the classics of the Southern Literary Tradition, get attached to a solid Southern community that is interested in the preservation of our history and culture. If you are a young single person, marry and raise a family of God fearing little rebels. This is the most important thing that can be done.

As bad as things have seemed, there has been much to rejoice over. Like the fact that we were only 226,241 votes away from a Solid South. Virginia swung 8 points toward Trump. This is much bigger than most are realizing. The South is not done. She still has a bright future as a distinctive people and place if She wants it.

In conclusion, I hope to leave you feeling optimistic with a sense of purpose. If this article seemed rushed, it is, but I would be remiss if I said nothing.

Have a great day. Enjoy the moment, and keep winning.

Deo Vindice. — J.R. We here at Virginia Gentry aim to get at least one article a week out to our readers. As the Editor In Chief it is my responsibility to accept, edit, and publish all of the work that we showcase. Obviously those things take time to do, and unfortunately things at home have been pulling me in every direction other than my responsibilities here.

Without going into too much detail, since the beginning of this month, a close family member has gotten themselves into some serious trouble. My wife’s grandfather has fallen ill and we made a 16 hour round trip to see him, just in case this was the end. Upon returning from the trip, I caught some manner of sickness. That being said, I am still trying to make time to work on the magazine, and next month is looking like a much needed reprieve from all of this craziness.

So, let me tell you about some projects to keep an eye out for.

Firstly, there will be the next edition of Southern Verse coming out on September 30th. After that we will be publishing our very first book review of P.C.M. Christ’s Give Up The Ghost. Followed by an interview with the author. Also be expecting an article from yours truly.

Until then, thank you for reading, and Deo Vindice.

— J.R. I don’t have a lengthy statement planned, but I feel the need to say a few words about the attempt on President Trump’s life and how it relates to the Southern Identity “movement”.

Note: I put the word “movement” in quotation marks because there is no definitive Southern Identity movement currently. There are, however, many cultural and historical heritage organizations that do good work in preserving various elements of the Southern Tradition. We count ourselves among these institutions.

I have heard it said from some that I am associated with that those who believe some form of National Divorce is the most likely future or most functional outcome for the USA, should pray for The USA and President Trump, but not fall for American Patriotism.

There are some things I want to address in that statement. Firstly, seeing National Divorce as the most likely outcome of the trajectory that the United States is currently on is not the same as wanting it to dissolve. The majority of the people I know want to see America restored to what it was before it was subverted in the middle of the 20th century.

For those who are excited about National Divorce, especially the traditional Southern Nationalists, what makes you think that the breaking up of the country would look anything like it did in the 1860s?

What happens if the Sunbelt states west of the Mississippi River form a coalition against Georgia and the Carolinas? Or, The various regions of Appalachia band together instead of joining a coastal collection of states? In addition to this, what makes you think that the separated region that you find yourself in won’t ally itself with the remnants of the Washington D.C. Regime? What happens to the power grids, the logistics of food and potable water transport, and much-needed medications moving across the borders?

Even if it were to look like the separation of the 1860s, what is to be done with the rapidly changing demographics of a place like Texas? Deportations are great, but do you break apart the families of every White Heritage Southerner who married a Latino partner? These are the realities that you will be facing.

How do we even know that “our guys” will be the ones to inherit power?

I don’t believe that the separation of the future will look much like the past at all. Ideally, we could go back to the past with modern technologies, but everyone who can think clearly should realize that this is impossible.

So, where does that leave us? Am I saying we throw off the Southern Identity for some vague barely definable American Identity?

Hell no.

Anyone who knows me or this publication should know better than that.

However, I also believe that we need to manage our expectations and do the most with what we have. There will be absolutely zero chance of a Southern Nationalist movement without the reentry of our ideals into young Southern minds. This is the importance of Southern Cultural projects and institutions that will cultivate the Southern Tradition in the next generation.

While I may dream of a New Confederate States, what is more believable, the Old South recoalescing, or enclaves of Southern Identity becoming fortresses of the culture in the face of an uncertain future, Influencing the next generation of young Southerners.

Secondly, I think we are all rushing too fast to see the United States collapse, whether you like it or not, if you are an American Southerner this is your country. Statistically speaking, you probably have served in the military or had close family or friends who have served the United States, and for the first time in forever, we have a man… an imperfect man, who is truly standing up for heritage Americans like you, who have bled for this land, who may have even died for it… That’s more than could be said for almost all Southern politicians since at least the 1980s (Buchanan excluded).

I don’t mean to target anyone in specific with this rant, I just want us to think about where we are and where we are going.

As a proud Southerner, I can say that President Trump isn’t our ideal man, but he is head and shoulders above the next guy who claims to be on our side. The last politician we truly had on our side was Pat Buchanan. I have hope that we will live to see another Buchanan, hopefully, one who is more prepared to challenge the powers that be. Until then, I will continue to support President Trump and support the real United States. I know one day neither of those things will exist, and the work we are doing to maintain and cultivate the Southern Tradition will outlast this regime or the Trump administration. But, countersigning the man who just took a bullet defending you is déclassé, and worse than that, yellow.

These thoughts are mine and mine alone in the aftermath of this historical event. Have a good Sunday, and God bless you. Pray for President Trump and Pray for the United States. The reason for this impromptu message is that “Virginia Gentry” will be slowing down the rate of publications from now (June 8th, 2024) until August 1st, 2024. There is no issue going on here, “Virginia Gentry” is safe, and we are more motivated than ever to bring you quality writing on the South and Southern Culture.

That being said, I am the Editor-In-Chief and as such I read and edit all articles before they are published, I am also involved in large-scale agriculture, and our harvest season will begin sometime around June 20th. Due to the work in our fields that must be done in the coming weeks, we will be slowing down our rate of publication.

I will do my damnedest to write, edit, and publish articles in my spare time, however, I will not lie to you by saying I can maintain our regular schedule of one to three articles a week. There are at least three articles in the works right now, and as always as soon as they are ready, they will be published.

So, once more to be clear, we are still publishing articles when we are able, but not as frequently as usual, this is a temporary lull and will be remedied by the end of July.

For my writers, please do not hesitate to send your work to us at VirginiaGentryMagazine@gmail.com. We are still working, although at a slightly slower pace than before.

If anyone would like to know more please leave a comment here or reach out to our email, or our “X”/Twitter: @VaGentryMag.

We look forward to the future, have a great weekend y’all. — J.R.
